Sew this Cute Summer Skirt

Above is a full circle skirt worn with a t-shirt, summer top, sweater and top.

Below is the skirt I made using a Poodle skirt pattern, worn with a tube top (also super easy to make).

I used the Poodle skirt pattern (also know as a circle skirt). Drop the poodle, and make it cotton instead of felt, and you have an adorable summer skirt. This pattern also uses a zipper and a clasp, but no worries, you will find a link on

What do you want to see at www.RetroSewing.net?

As I move forward with www.RetroSewing.net I wonder what my visitors would like to see. Please email me with any comments or suggestions you may have. Would you like to see more basic instruction and techniques, or particular sewing projects. Would you like to learn how to redesign the clothes you already own? What about home decor items like curtains and pillows.

Please let me know what you like, and what you don't like about www.RetroSewing.net. I would love to hear from you. Thank you again for subscribing, and happy sewing.

What have I been doing?

When I started www.RetroSewing.net I originally planned to make it all about redesigning clothes I already owned, and making clothes inspired by the past, hence the name RetroSewing. Many people seemed to like the idea, but didn't know how to sew. Since there were websites that had sewing instruction I didn't feel the need to do instruction, but I was asked continually about basic sewing instruction, so I decided to add instruction.

Now I'm doing a review of my site and wondering what my visitors want to see (as mentioned above).

I've been doing the usual summer activities. Vacation, redecorating, gardening, and of course sewing. I'm thinking about kitchen curtains soon. I've got my sewing room clean and organized, so I'm ready to go.

Thank you again for your interest in my website, and thank you for subscribing to this e-zine. Please forward it to your friends and family who might be interested in sewing, and ask the to subscribe as well.

Happy Sewing,
Pam
